Title: "Tell me how to love someone else"

"No matter what I say, I think I love you.

I'm sure you'll always be stuck in my heart, never disappearing.
I hate that.

But I really do love you.

So, please tell me how to love someone other than you."

Kiyo Aono

I am a Japanese oil painter.

I paint emotions that cannot easily be expressed in words. Through my work, I explore love, longing, memory, loss, and the feelings that remain long after a moment has passed.

Painting is my way of preserving what I have felt and experienced. While some people keep diaries with words, I leave traces of my life through images. Each painting becomes a record of an emotion, a memory, or a question that continues to live within me.

I hope my work allows viewers to reconnect with feelings they may recognize but cannot always name.

For me, art is not only a form of expression—it is a way of leaving evidence that I was here, that I felt deeply, and that these moments existed.

My name is Kiyo Aono, and I am a Japanese oil painter.

I express emotions that are difficult to put into words through paintings.

It's about longing, romance, and impatience—feelings that everyone surely had deep down in their hearts in the past, but which we've forgotten as we've grown up, caught up in roles, responsibilities, and the demands of daily life.

People leave behind their words in the form of diaries.

I record the trajectory of my life, along with the emotions I felt at the time, through paintings.

I would be honored if my work could evoke some kind of feeling in you.
